The extraction system collects card waste from six areas, these include automatic die cutters plus hand stripping areas. There are three main extraction fans, these are housed inside an acoustic enclosure. The card is blown into air/product separators which then deposits the card into one of two compactors. This twin compactor arrangement works well, when one bin becomes full an automatic change over valve diverts the card into the empty bin. The dust produced is sucked from three filters and is automatically discharged into the compactors. There are no small dust bins to deal with. This fully automatic system is operated with a purpose designed control panel.
